The Vacancy
Our Investment DB Business Unit works with trustees of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes, to offer expert investment advice. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join this Business Unit as an Investment Data Specialist.
What will your role look like?
As our Investment Data Specialist, you will join a growing, multi-disciplinary team, and will support them to deliver key investment data and reporting services for our firm, and to make improvements to these where required.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
Performing data entry quickly and accurately through maintenance of internal spreadsheets and databases – updating and maintaining data on investment markets, managers, and client information
Working closely with client-facing team members to deliver a variety of client reports
Sourcing and formatting data, and then presenting or communicating the key findings from this to internal stakeholders, working with programmes such as MS Excel to do so
Supporting with the development and implementation of new data and reporting products, along with developing training material and other ad hoc support requests
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will:
Have had previous experience of working with and analysing large sets of data and numbers
Be a strong communicator, who enjoys working with others
Possess strong attention to detail, as well as excellent organisational and task prioritisation skills
Be self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to use your initiative to complete tasks
Have experience of working with Microsoft 365 software, in particular the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint (or similar programmes)
Given that working with data and numbers is a key component of this role, we'd also be looking for you to have studied Maths to at least Scottish Standard Grade, or English GCSE level (or equivalent).
