We have an exciting new opportunity for a Specialist to join our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR team) on a fixed term contract, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

The role is envisaged as full-time, but we’re open to considering candidates interested in a 4 day working week.

What will your role look like? 

We’re a small, friendly team with big goals and lots on the go.  We’re looking for a specialist with relevant CSR/Sustainability experience to add to our capacity and capability.  Working closely with our Head of CSR and other team members, you’ll play an important part in our carbon reporting and emissions reduction work, and our B Corp recertification programme.  You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in internal engagement and learning initiatives, developing our volunteering programme and the work of the Hymans Robertson Foundation. 

Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:  

Carbon emissions measurement and reduction

We’re just finalising our Science Based Targets aligned carbon reduction plan. You’ll support the operation and development of the programme, including:

  • Day-to-day running of our programme plans and action logs

Coordination of our carbon emissions data gathering 

  • Liaise with facilities and other teams to ensure required data is on track  
  • Sense check / review of data  
  • Process travel and finance expense carbon reports 
  • Review and improve processes – support our reporting development 
  • Upload and maintain our carbon footprint records on our online platform.

Day to day oversight of our SBT reduction plan  

  • Coordinate and promote sustainability programme initiatives 
  • Liaise with relevant contacts across the firm (facilities team, sustainability champs, business unit contacts) 
  • Liaise with our carbon consultants  

Communication and L&D support 

  • Support our Head of CSR with carbon initiatives and leadership team liaison  
  • Support the writing and design of our annual Impact Report, planned Intranet Carbon Hub and wider communication and engagement content
  • Development and delivery of learning materials  

Research & Knowledge development 

  • Keeping abreast of sector news, legislation and initiatives 
  • Researching and implementing best practice 
  • Monitor competitor activity 
  • Maintain and develop our CSR bids knowledgebase and client due diligence
  • Content, supporting responses to specific requests 

B Corp

  • Day-to-day support of our 2025/26 recertification process 
  • Data gathering 
  • Business liaison 
  • Manage and develop our impact assessment submission
  • Identify and help address gaps and challenges 

Social Impact  

  • Working with the wider team to provide operational support to our volunteering, social impact and Foundation activities.

To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:  

  • A relevant qualification and/or professional work experience in a carbon measurement & reduction / sustainability or CSR focussed role 
  • Strong communication, writing and project / organisational skills 
  • A team-focussed, self-starter mindset - with lots of initiative 
  • Previous reporting experience 
  • Analytical skills  - strong excel knowledge essential. PowerBI experience a big advantage 
  • Good administrative / MS Office skills
