We have an exciting new opportunity for an Internal Communications Business Partner to join our internal communications team, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.

The role is envisaged as full-time, however we’re also open to considering candidates interested in a 4 day working week.

What will your role look like? 

Internal Communication is an important function in our firm. The team work closely with our management board and leadership teams across the business to ensure that effective two-way communication is in place. It’s about ensuring that everyone has the information they need to thrive in their role, deliver great service to our clients and to contribute to the ongoing development of the firm.

You’ll be working closely with our Head of Internal Comms, you’ll partner with key contacts and teams to consult on, advise and support a wide range of communication and engagement activity. This will include intranet news and content, firmwide and leadership online briefings, team and project communications, internal events and the ongoing development of our comms channels – particularly Viva Engage.

Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:  

  • Day to day co-ordination of our intranet news channels
    • Managing the intranet publication schedule and news pipeline
    • Working with contacts across the business to plan, produce and refine content
    • Loading, formatting and publishing content in SharePoint when required.
  • Support the development of our communication channels and wider intranet
    • Driving adoption of Viva Engage and developing wider use blogs, video and digital channels
    • Working with the business to curate written, online and video content
  • Managing and measuring our internal communication
    • Maintaining and developing our strategic communication plans and schedules
    • Support the development of our Internal Communication metrics
  • Project and programme communication
    • Working with teams across the firm to advise on and coordinate strategic communication plans and initiatives
    • Liaising with marketing and other business areas to ensure a joined-up internal and external comms approach on internal.
       
  • Research best practice, developments and generate new ideas, contributing to the ongoing development of our communication strategy. 

To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:  

  • A pro-active, self-starting approach, while working well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Proven business writing, editing and proof-reading expertise
  • Organisation, planning and time management skills – experience of working in a busy deadline-driven environment
  • Business partnering experience – confident in communicating with and influencing contacts and stakeholders
  • Strong digital skills – particularly MS Office, SharePoint and the MS Viva suite
  • A relevant qualification and/or experience gained in a professional communications or related role
